OUR LISTENERS

Real people. Truly present.

Third Space Listeners are not therapists or coaches. They are something rarer: people who have developed a genuine ability to be fully present with another human being, without judgment, without agenda, without personal investment in the outcome.

Not clinical. Deeply human.

Third Space Listeners are not licensed therapists, counselors, psychologists, or healthcare providers. That distinction is intentional.

We are not a clinical service. We are a human one. And the people we select reflect that; they bring life experience, emotional intelligence, and a practiced ability to hold space, not a clinical credential.

Every Listener is carefully selected through a process designed to identify one rare quality: the ability to make someone feel genuinely heard.

They are not there to fix you. They are there to be present with you.
— The Third Space Talk standard

What defines a Third Space Listener

Four qualities we select for, and hold to, in every person on our platform.

The listener actually listens

Not waiting for their turn to speak. Not forming a response while you're still talking. Fully present, fully focused on what you're saying.

They ask thoughtful questions

The kind that help you hear yourself more clearly. The kind that open a door you didn't know was there.

They protect your confidence

Confidentiality is not a policy; it's a practice. Every Listener is committed to it without exception.

They hold no agenda

They are not invested in the outcome. They have no opinion about what you should do. Their only job is to be present with you.

Where they come from

Our Listeners come from a wide range of professional and life backgrounds. What they share is a dedication to people, not a title.

Business & Leadership

Executives, managers, and team leads who have navigated organizational complexity, high-stakes decisions, and the weight of responsibility firsthand.

Community Leadership

People who have served their communities in advocacy, nonprofit leadership, or civic roles are deeply practiced in listening to diverse experiences without judgment.

Coaching & Mentoring

People who have spent careers asking the right questions and creating space for others to find their own clarity, not providing the answers, but guiding the process.

Parenting & Family

Those who have navigated the real complexity of family dynamics, relationships, and life transitions from the inside, with wisdom earned through experience.

Education

Teachers, counselors, and administrators are trained in active listening, empathy, and holding space for others during uncertainty and growth.

Customer-Facing Professions

Professionals whose careers have been built on understanding, supporting, and communicating with people across every kind of situation and personality.

What your Listener does

From your inquiry form to your next conversation, here's how your Listener supports you.

Before they review your inquiry

Before you meet, your Listener reads your inquiry form to understand what you'd like to discuss, so the conversation can begin with purpose.

During the session, they create a welcoming space

They open the conversation, listen without judgment, ask reflective questions, and help you explore your thinking from different angles.

After they hold what matters

With your awareness, they may keep brief notes on key themes, goals, or next steps — so the next conversation picks up where this one left off.

Confidential

What you share is protected. Listeners do not discuss sessions with anyone outside of required platform oversight.

Consistent

Memberships are designed to support an ongoing relationship with the same Listener, whenever scheduling allows.

Human

No AI. No automated responses. Every message, every session, every note. A real person on the other end.
